The Sacramento Capitals Host Grand Opening and Serena Williams´ Drop Shot Diva Day - Team Launches New Website, Logo and Phone Number

The Sacramento Capitals kicked off their 26th season with a grand opening in Sunrise Mall. The storefront ticket office will serve as a venue for ticket and retail sales and is the first of its kind for the franchise.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to open a full time ticket office at our venue for the first time in the history of our organization," Matt McEvoy, General Manager of the Sacramento Capitals said. "The space will give us greater access to local residents and can serve as a stopping point for individuals who are new to tennis and curious about the team. It is a win-win for us, and we are thrilled to continue our relationship with Sunrise Mall and Sunrise Marketplace," McEvoy added.

The grand opening celebration will featured a door prize drawing and an exclusive opportunity to purchase the team´s popular ´Drop Shot Diva´ package featuring marquee player, Serena Williams, of the Washington Kastles on July 9th. The package will include an opportunity to take a group photo with the tennis star, a Macy´s shopping experience with Capitals´ players, a gift bag, a $25 Macy´s gift card and a beauty treatment. Also included is a courtside box seat to see Serena Williams and the Washington Kastles take on the Capitals later that evening. Only 50 packages are available at a cost $125 each.

The team is focused on rising to the next level and has a fresh look this season not only with a new stadium at Sunrise Mall, but a new website, phone number and logo. The new webpage, www.saccaps.com, will soon feature an updated ticket system with the ability to purchase tickets and packages to Sacramento Capitals matches.

"We are really focused this year on ensuring the organization and team is operating at a first class level to provide the Sacramento region with a truly professional tennis team that this community deserves," said McEvoy. "Our footprint in the Sacramento community is crucial to our success, so we are excited to kick off the new season with a number of new features, new faces and new efforts to engage the region."
