Sacramento Capitals Announce 2011 Schedule Featuring Bryan Brothers, Serena Williams and Mardy Fish

(Sacramento, CA) - The Sacramento Capitals will feature world-renowned tennis star Serena Williams during the team’s opening weekend on July 8-10, kicking off an exciting 2011 season schedule, as announced by World TeamTennis (WTT) today.

The Capitals will return to Sunrise Mall this season and compete in their first home matches on Friday, July 8 vs. the New York Sportimes. Williams will compete on Saturday, July 9 with the Washington Kastles and the Capitals will conclude the opening weekend by hosting the Newport Beach Breakers on Sunday, July 10.

Current ATP No. 1 doubles partners, Mike and Bob Bryan (the Bryan Brothers), will compete at Sunrise Mall on July 12 for Kansas City. The Bryan Brothers, who have claimed 68 doubles titles, the all-time leaders for men´s doubles team, will also be featured at Kansas City on July 14.

American tennis star and Olympic silver medalist Mardy Fish will be showcased at Sunrise Mall on July 15. Fish is currently ranked at No. 15 in the world, a career-best. The Capital’s schedule will conclude on July 20 and 21, when the team hosts the Boston Lobsters and Springfield Lasers, respectively.
