Posted

Generation Y retail chain Aeropostale opened a store Friday at Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights.  Aeropostale Inc., which sells young men’s and women’s casual apparel and accessories, with a focus on 14- to 17-year-olds, joins other mall newcomer, Shoe Palace, which opened last month, and a newly renovated American Eagle Outfitters store.

Aeropostale opened in 3,300 square feet.

“Aeropostale adds depth to Sunrise Mall’s selection of quality stores including Macy’s, JCPenney, and Sears, as well as trendy operators like Tilly’s, Express, Zumiez, Journeys and Pac Sun to name a few,” Sunrise Mall general manager Christi Woodards said in a news release Friday.

Aeropostale already has five other locations in the region. The New York-based retailer (NYSE: ARO) operates 887 stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico, and 36 stores in Canada.
