Sunrise MarketPlace Expands Entertainment Options in Sacramento Region
Citrus Heights, CA - Sunrise MarketPlace Business Improvement District is expanding the entertainment options in the Sacramento region with the Sunrise MarketPlace Stadium, located in the Sunrise Mall parking lot near the North Macy’s.
The Sunrise MarketPlace Stadium is home to the Sacramento Capitals World Team Tennis for the second consecutive year; the team also played here from 2002-2006. Sunrise MarketPlace has decided to leverage the world-class stadium and have added an evening summer concert series with performers including Kool and the Gang, The Commodores, Lonestar and the Charlie Daniels Band. More performers will be announced for the summer lineup in the next few weeks.
The 2,500-seat stadium offers an alternative to larger venues located in the area. Several things will set this stadium apart including a convenient location in the center of the region; spacious and comfortable seating with more leg room; and affordable ticket prices, as well as onsite food and beverage.
This summer, a variety of events will be taking place within the Sunrise MarketPlace Business Improvement District, including free summer concerts at the redeveloped and rebranded Citrus Town Center, which will occur biweekly from June through September from 6:00 – 8:00 PM near Marshall’s.
Sunrise Mall is home to the weekly Farmers Market, every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm in the parking lot behind Sears and this summer special vendors will be added, bringing variety and entertainment. Sunrise Mall will also be hosting the Zumiez Couch Tour on June 2nd and a carnival June 28th through July 4th. The annual Citrus Heights Red, White & Blue Parade will display patriotic spirit on Sunrise Blvd from Uplands Way to Greenback Lane on June 23rd.
